That's right! 7 "yes"es on my poll was all the encouragement i needed. So without further ado, let me introduce the contest specifics!

1. the theme ~
i have often found my inspiration for artwork in music. So for this contest, i would like you to do the same! Your mission: Find a song that inspires you, and make a piece of art that stems from that inspiration.

2. the rules ~
- you may only enter ONCE
- your entry must be submitted specifically for this contest, and thereby dated no earlier than 6.3.09
- any song will do, with lyrics or without; however, i would appreciate it if the lyrics were generally clean
- please include in your artist's comments a link to a place where i can listen to the song. if you can't find a place, then please email me the song at ordinaryradical113@live.com
- any medium is acceptable; however, if you decide to write, keep in mind that i do NOT want you to use lyrics from the song in your literature
- please comment on this journal, my profile, or send me a note with a link to the deviation to enter, so i am sure not to miss any

3. the prizes ~

if all goes well, the winner will be announced on July 20th, my two-year birthday on dA.
